Fall Newsletter 2024

Greetings From the Gamut Music Workshop—

It has been a hot, wet, and subsequently, very humid end of summer here in Duluth. Happily, our workshops are climate controlled to ensure our strings and instruments are properly stored all year round.

Summer has seen a flurry of activity in the string and the instrument workshops. A great number of Dealer orders have been sent across the pond to the UK and European Union, providing them with a fresh stock of Gamut strings for the season. And tremendous progress has been made in the instrument workshop, with two new lutes, and a selection of Legacy Workshop instruments now available for sale, including a Renaissance guitar and a rebec.

The seasons sure seem to pass buy faster and faster each year, and with the continued demand for Gamut gut strings, the string workshop is again operating at full capacity with the addition of our new worker, Ana, to the gut processing room. Order timelines have returned to mostly normal, but please understand there continues to be various and persistent hiccups and/or interruptions in the supply chains, so it is always very much recommended to place your order for strings well in advance.

We hope this newsletter finds you well as fall begins and the school year and concert season start, and we look forward to continued business with you.

All the best to you and yours,

Kind regards,

Dan Larson and the Gamut Music workshop
